A DAY IN PAINT Latest Painting
Low Tide, Silvertown oil on boad 22" x 16"
Thursday 28th August,2008
The Thames Flood Barrier at Woolwich Reach stretches between Charlton on the south and Silvertown on the north side of the river. Though not an 'Eastender' my paternal roots are in Silvertown. It's changed quite dramatically since I was last there some 40 years ago. It was wonderful going back and seeing how the area had been developed and revitalised though some of the older residents I met up with were not quite so happy with the changes. This Painting will be available from the Barbara Stanley Gallery, London as part of my solo exhibition opening 17th September.
